In the Tenondé Porã village, a Guarani territory located in the southern area of São Paulo, Bela Gil talks to Jerá Guarani, an Indigenous leader and one of the guardians of her people's sacred foods. Bela’s Roots aims to offer alternative ways to approach health in a holistic manner. The chef travels throughout all regions of Brazil to meet with shamans, healers, herbalists, representatives of traditional communities, and female leaders who keep these traditions alive.
